Who should see a doctor before taking SodaPeak
SodaPeak is a dietary supplement labeled to support healthy muscle. It does not treat low testosterone, prostate disease, muscle disease or any other condition, and it is not a replacement for a prescribed medicine. Book a doctor’s appointment before your first capsule if any of these fit:
- Blood thinners. Memorial Sloan Kettering notes that saw palmetto may raise the risk of bruising and bleeding with warfarin and similar drugs (MSK, saw palmetto).
- Heart disease. MSK advises people with heart disease to avoid horny goat weed, after reports of a rapid, irregular heartbeat (MSK, epimedium).
- Prostate treatment or a PSA test. Saw palmetto and nettle root are studied for prostate symptoms, and prostate problems need a proper diagnosis first (MedlinePlus, prostate diseases).
- A hormone-sensitive condition. MSK says wild yam has estrogen-like effects in lab and animal studies and asks people with hormone-sensitive cancers to speak to their physician (MSK, wild yam).
- Iron supplements. Nettle contains tannins that can reduce how well iron supplements work (NCCIH digest).
- Other boron products. The adult upper limit for boron is 20 mg a day from all sources, and the boron amount in this blend is not printed (NIH Office of Dietary Supplements).
- Unexplained weakness or tiredness. Muscle problems can come from injury, nerve disease, infection or certain medicines, and a doctor can sort out which (MedlinePlus, muscle disorders).
- Surgery. NCCIH asks you to tell your surgical team about every supplement well before an operation (NCCIH, using supplements wisely).
If something feels wrong after you start SodaPeak, stop taking it, call your doctor, and tell the order desk with your order ID and lot code. Side effects can also be reported to the FDA through MedWatch.
